How do I set up MustMeet for my event?
Once registered, you can click on 'Create Event' and our step-by-step guide takes you through the four steps of creating an event. Step 1 gives us the basic event details; Step 2 creates the Event Landing Page where your Delegates arrive when they click on the MustMeet link to your event; Step 3 defines the areas where your Delegates can hold their meetings; Step 4 lets you manage the event Diary and block out time when you recommend or prevent networking.
What is an Event Landing Page?
The Event Landing Page is the web page dedicated to your event where your Delegates will arrive when the click on the link in the MustMeet invitation or enter the unique Event ID. Remember that your Delegates have already registered for your event so you don't need to sell them on the event, just the networking. Networking is a real added value to your event and Delegates will appreciate the assistance of MustMeet to really get the best value of their time with you. Highlight the reasons your event is good for networking and any times you have set aside that are dedicated to networking.
What is a Meeting Area?
Your Delegates need to know exactly when and where to meet each other. MustMeet lets you set up dedicated Meeting Areas and Rendezvous Points and Delegates can also specify their own meeting point such as an exhibitor's stand or a coffee shop.
Use a Structured Meeting Area where you can set aside an area with chairs (tables are optional!) MustMeet automatically allocates Meeting Points as meeting are requested. Structured Meeting Areas can be just groups of chairs facing each other or a specially built partitioned area with tables depending on budget and space in your venue. Delegates really don't mind — it's the networking that's important!
Use a Rendezvous Point in venues where there are plenty of casual seating areas for Delegates and they just need to meet each other first. The actual Rendezvous Point can be anything from a simple sign to a reception desk — a round table with numbered points works really well or numbered poles. MustMeet automatically allocates Meeting Points as meeting are requested — for Rendezvous Points, keep the number low to avoid too many people turning up at any one time.
Rendezvous points are ideal where you are using a bar area or café as a networking area. Simply set up the space on MustMeet as a Rendezvous point and set the maximum number of meeting points to about half the number of tables available to leave space for ad hoc networking.
What is a Meeting Point?
A Meeting Point is one numbered place within a Meeting Area so that Delegates know exactly which point to meet their networking partner. See Meeting Area.
What is a Rendezvous Point?
A Rendezvous Point is simply a particular type of Meeting Area. Rather than individual seating areas, Rendezvous Points are places that Delegates can meet each other and then go and find somewhere to talk. Keep the number of Meeting Points low to avoid too many people turning up at any one time.
What is an Exhibitor at a MustMeet event?
At events where you have set up Booths or spaces dedicated to an exhibition, your Exhibitors staff may want to arrange meetings at their Booth. By clicking on the 'Exhibitor' check box, MustMeet displays a check box to all delegates to allow them to to indicate that they are an Exhibitor and can offer their booth as a location for meetings.
